Personal data and privacy on our website

Ei's website uses a technology based on information available in the browser which combines with the visitor's IP address to provide a unique identifier. The technology is not used to record which websites you visit. Ei does not disclose the information to a third party and the information is automatically deleted when you close the browser.

What is personal data?

In order for us to send digital news to you via email, you must enter an email address. You can easily change your subscription or close your subscription account for digital news if you want to. When you use our Contact-us-form, enter your name and email address so that we can reach you. In this way you agree to the processing of personal data. Please note that when you write to us, the principle of public access to official documents applies because Ei is an authority. This means that the content of your message may become an official document and be disclosed if someone requests it.

Managing events via ei.se

For events that we organise, you must enter personal data such as name and contact information, so that we can manage our conferences and consultations. When you register for our events, you agree to the processing of personal data in connection with an event.
Questionnaires, evaluations and collection of information via ei.se

You are entitled to receive one copy of the personal data about you that is processed by Ei. Ei is entitled to charge for additional copies. The right to information and record excerpts does not apply to information subject to professional secrecy.

Official documents and the principle of public access to official documents

Ei is a public authority subject to the principle of public access to official documents. This means that all documents, including personal data, submitted to the Swedish Energy Markets Inspectorate will become official documents that may be disclosed to someone requesting them. However, in some cases, data may be considered to be subject to professional secrecy and therefore not disclosed.
